Liberating Evangelical Lutheran Church in South Africa
One Church One Vision
VOCATIONS @ LELCSA
LELCSA supports any candidate who aspire to serve as a minister of the “Word and Sacrament” (Ordained) or “Word and Service” (Lay) ministry, as well as those who might serve in a variety of lay leadership roles in the church or in the world
Candidacy in LELCSA is a process of welcoming people who are discerning on how to serve through the church. It is a formal and engaging process that assists people in discernment for church leadership, whether to serve in an ordained ministry or other lay roles within the church.
Candidacy is a life-long process, which continually assesses how God may be calling a person into a unique ministry. The candidacy process involves the nurturance of mentors; congregations; synods and provinces; and others according to guidance of the Holy Spirit
